Dear Friends & Supporters,

We would like to begin this month’s letter with a very sincere thank you for the support many of you offered this past month towards baby Sisa’s transplant surgery. Thanks to the support of so many, her surgery is funded and now we are just waiting for a match to be found. Please pray for Sisa and for her continued health as she waits in the hospital with her nanny.

We’ve enjoyed the warmer weather and getting to play outside more this month. We look forward to filling the pool and getting to swim in a few weeks’ time. Our preschoolers have been learning all about farm animals this month and have had a great time with the lessons and activities our wonderful preschool volunteers, Peter and Inge, have prepared for them.

If you want a glimpse into more of their fun, check out our recent farm post on Facebook.

We’d like to extend a very warm thanks to Isabel Wang who organized a fundraiser this month through her company, Western Digital Corporation. With help from former NHF volunteers, Shirley Hwang and Mike Chen, Isabel organized a creative way for her coworkers to get involved by making bibs. She was able to enlist the help of 21 participants therefore earning a large financial grant from her company.

Our needs this month include support for the ongoing running costs of our Beijing facility. We’ve had some repairs and renovations this month totaling approx. $5,000 (USD). If you would like to help with any of these costs, please visit our online donation page or email us for more information.

With sincere thanks,

Robin, Joyce and the New Hope Staff

Sisa

We are in need of travelers from the US to Beijing to help bring in much needed supplies for our children. None of these supplies are “restricted items” and do not have to be declared at customs. The items will be mailed to you within country. New Hope Foundation staff will be at the airport to pick up the supplies in Beijing. If you are able to help or know of other travelers who are willing to help please contact:
