Urgent Financial Need

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As many of you know, we do not run with a large reserve of funding for the work that we do here in China and our financial needs often fluctuate from month to month depending on the medical needs of our children, what surgeries are needed that month, etc. We do have many regular donors, but normally each month we are short around $150,000 (USD) from regular support. At the beginning of this year we received a very generous donation of $400,000 (USD) and also support from various groups that made up this shortfall. We were expecting a large donation at this time which has been delayed for a few months, so we find ourselves very short of funding for the next few months.

Baby Sisa is currently in hospital and had a liver transplant last Friday. Her transplant surgery was funded by a few groups here in Beijing, but we now have to fund the ongoing costs of the surgery, including her stay in ICU which is currently estimated to be two weeks. The cost for one day in ICU is RMB 10,000 (approx. $1,500), so for 2 weeks the cost will be more than $20,000 (USD). We also have another baby currently awaiting a liver transplant. These costs, plus the normal monthly shortfall in funding has brought us to writing this email as our situation is critical.
We are convinced that God is going to provide the funding for what we do in China and our part is just to let you all know of the need.

If you would like to help us through this situation, please follow the link to our donation page. If you are able to give directly to the Hong Kong account, that would be most helpful as the funds are immediately available to us.

Yours sincerely,
Joyce & Robin
