Meet Lorenza! This darling girl has been in our care since 2017. From the moment she entered our doors, we knew there was something special about her! She has the most expressive sparkly eyes that always tell you she knows exactly what’s going on. Her adorable freckles and the way she wrinkles her nose when she laughs can melt any heart!
Lorenza is known to have a calming effect on those around her, and her sweet demeanor puts everyone at ease. She helps keep the younger children in her room content by sitting with them or holding their hands whenever they’re upset. Her nannies and nurses say she is a pleasure to care for as she is not easily bothered by disruptions in her routine or by other children’s behaviors.
She spends her days calmly examining toys, observing the world around her, and taking daily walks with friends. She enjoys it when her nanny does her hair and takes extra care to make beautiful braids—she is oh, so patient! When she’s excited, she giggles and tilts her head back and forth while wrinkling her nose and pursing her lips in a delightfully gleeful exchange!
Lorenza was born with gastrointestinal and nervous system conditions. Her journey has been long and winding for such a young child, but we have seen her resilience build as she navigates her world. We are incomparably proud of her and all that she has achieved in her time in our care.
Because of so many generous supporters, Lorenza is able to receive the medical care, love, and nurture that the staff at her Hope Healing Home provide. Our greatest joy is helping children like Lorenza know their worth and to give as much love and support as we are able.
